DRAWING NEAR

Reflecting on five years of artistic research, DRAWING NEAR, Mohit Shelare’s first solo exhibition, consolidates arguments around waste and toxins, underlining their constitutive role in the systems in which we live. In this epistemic inquiry, maintains that waste should be seen through the prism of material history, caste abstractions, and the engagement of planetary agents with it. The exhibition foregrounds drawing as a thinking tool, a way to bring things nearer.
